La Conner WA

La Conner, Washington, located in the southwest portion of the Skagit Valley, is a quaint, historic Swinomish Slough waterfront community.  Shelter Bay provides a large portion of the waterfront homes and condominiums within La Conner, along with the charming downtown area. La Conner is a popular all-year tourist destination, but especially during the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival every April.  Locally recognized as Skagit County's first community, founded in the 1860s, it is the home of the annual Pioneer Picnic. It is also the home of the annual Smelt Derby in January, attracting young and old alike! There are one-of-a-kind boutiques, antique stores, waterfront dining, art galleries, a large marina and museums – frequently featuring local artists.

Real estate property includes homes, condominiums, vacant land, waterfront lots and commercial investments. The iconic orange Rainbow Bridge connects La Conner to the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, and several of their delightful cultural events are hosted here, annually.  The La Conner School District has traditionally been a leader in Skagit County with “cutting-edge” innovative additions and award-winning athletes and sports teams.
